I tend to grab the bulk of my seeds for the year at the New England Cannabis Convention in Boston. This year to mix it up I brought in a z (ounce) or two of Lamb’s Breath buds, had the vendors give it a sniff and asked if they had anything that could hang with it. The most confident was the vendor from Atlas Seeds, who said their Banjerine might be a contender. We shall see. I will say it’s off to a great start.

I also selected “Swayze” from Purple City Genetics 87 collection. This is my first time with this breeder so I have no expectations. I will say it’s start was as equally impressive as the Banjerine.

I germinated three seeds for each strain and are growing them in three different medium. A 5 gallon DWC (Deep Water Culture) bucket, A 5 gallon cloth pot with soil and a 5 gallon cloth pot with coco coir. My Deep Water Culture setup is simply a bucket with one or two air stones and between 3-4 gallons of water treated with nutrients. Coco coir is basically coconut shells shredded to a soil like consistency which adds no nutrients to the plant. All the nutrients must come from the watering. The Soil plants extract their nutrients from the soil which occasionally should be amended with more nutrients.
